3 minutes West is an independent production company producing original, cross-genre, mixed media feature films and arts programming. Established in 2007, 3 minutes West is based in Manchester, UK, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
3 minutes West's first feature ~ COPPELIA ~ is a unique family movie combining animation and live action dance, with a diverse international cast including ballet stars Michaela DePrince and Darcey Bussell. COPPELIA premiered at Annecy Festival 2021 and won the audience award for Best Feature at the 40th Cambridge Film Festival. After theatrical release in 2022, the film will be screened by broadcasters including PBS, BBC, MDR/Arte and AvroTros. 3 minutes West is currently developing a slate of highly original, mixed media films and series.
Before COPPELIA, 3 minutes West was known for producing arts programming for TV and event cinema. Broadcasters, distributors and co-producers include BBC, PBS, NRK, SVT, Warner and Pathé Live. Awards include the Rose d'Or (Arts) for BETROFFENHEIT for the BBC.
